Southern Vineyards Open Weekend :: Sunday 4 March

The 2012 wine bus tour will be to the Coal River Valley.

The first stop will be John Skinner’s vineyard, Third Child where we will have the opportunity to try six different vintages and a vertical comparison.

Meadowbank is our second stop for a wine tasting and coffee and Tony Scherer  will talk to us about the future plans for the vineyard.

The third stop will be Winemaking Tasmania where we will have an opportunity to try wines from 10 different vineyards and talk to the winemakers.

The final stop will be the Coal Valley Vineyard where we will have a 2 course seasonal lunch, prepared by well known chef Paul Foreman.  The lunch includes a glass of matched wine plus tea and coffee.

The bus will leave Campbell St, outside the Grand Chancellor at 9.30am and return between 3.30pm and 4.00pm

The cost is $80.00 for Slow Food Members and $90.00 for non members.

A lunch only option is available.

What is Slow Food?

The Slow Food movement - ever wondered what it's all about?  Then come along for an insight into the why, what, how and who of Slow Food. 

Hear passionate Slow Food members; Rodney Dunn :: Agrarian Kitchen, John Zito :: Nutpatch Nougat, Silvana Taurian :: Bottega Rotolo, Jo Cook :: MoMA,  and students from Lansdowne Crescent Primary  speak about this growing international movement and why it's so important.
